Echoes is operated under the Locals name in Alberta, Canada. Questions about privacy can be sent to vptrafficmarketingsolutions@gmail.com.

• Thoughts, replies, topic pins, reactions, display names, and other content you choose to submit.
• Private messages, reports, blocks, and information you include when contacting support.
• If you choose to sign in, account information handled by our authentication provider, Clerk, such as your email address and account identifier.

You can use Echoes without creating an account. The app uses a device or browser-based anonymous identifier to associate your own thoughts, replies, messages, reactions, blocks, and reports with you.

When browser location permission is available, Echoes may receive approximate coordinates to calculate nearby results. Coordinates saved with a thought are rounded before storage, and exact coordinates are not displayed publicly. A broad location label is shown instead.

Location access is optional. If you decline it, the app can use a general default area or information you search for yourself, but nearby results may be less precise.

• To provide nearby and global feeds, search, replies, reactions, messaging, notifications, and account linking.
• To keep your anonymous activity connected across visits on the same device and to link it to an account if you choose to sign in.
• To process reports, enforce blocks, prevent abuse, and protect the service.
• To understand basic site traffic and improve the service. Published web analytics may receive pageview, approximate device, browser, referral, and performance information.
• To comply with legal obligations and respond to valid safety or legal requests.

Echoes does not make your exact coordinates or private messages public. Information may be processed by providers that support authentication, hosting, database storage, analytics, and security. Those providers receive only the information needed to perform their services.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or when you ask us to do so. We do not sell your personal information.

Thoughts, replies, reactions, display names, broad location labels, and timestamps submitted to public areas can be visible to other users. Do not include full names, addresses, contact details, or other information you do not want made public.

Reports are reviewed, and blocks are used to personalize feeds and stop private messaging. Content may be retained as needed to investigate abuse, resolve disputes, or comply with law.

We keep information for as long as needed to operate Echoes, provide moderation and safety functions, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. You may request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your account or anonymous identity by emailing vptrafficmarketingsolutions@gmail.com. We may need enough information to verify the request without exposing another person’s data.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a new update date.

Echoes is intended for people who are at least 16 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
